# MCP server for business loan applications

Source: https://businessloanbroker.ai/agents/mcp/
Site: BusinessLoanBroker.ai (powered by Levr)

> Connect the BusinessLoanBroker.ai MCP server in any client: server URL, OAuth sign in, scopes, what happens on first connect, rate limits and versioning. Free for the business.

The server is a remote MCP endpoint over streamable HTTP at `https://mcp.businessloanbroker.ai/mcp`. Any client that supports remote MCP servers can add it with the URL alone. The owner signs in with a business account through OAuth, and the client receives the tools automatically.

## Key facts
- **Server URL:** https://mcp.businessloanbroker.ai/mcp
- **Transport:** Streamable HTTP (SSE fallback for older clients)
- **Auth:** OAuth 2.1 authorization code with PKCE, dynamic client registration supported
- **Scopes:** business:read , business:write , application:submit
- **Accounts:** Business accounts only, free to create during sign in
- **Status and version:** Versioned tool set, changelog on this page, status reported in tool errors

## How do I add the server to my client?

Paste the URL into the client's remote MCP or custom connector setting, then complete the sign in when the browser opens. Per client details:

- [Claude](https://businessloanbroker.ai/agents/claude/): Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector.

- [ChatGPT](https://businessloanbroker.ai/agents/chatgpt/): Settings, Apps and connectors, Create.

- [Claude Code and Codex](https://businessloanbroker.ai/agents/claude-code/): one command each, shown below.

- [Cursor and VS Code](https://businessloanbroker.ai/agents/cursor/): a JSON entry in mcp.json.

- [Gemini](https://businessloanbroker.ai/agents/gemini/) and [Grok](https://businessloanbroker.ai/agents/grok/): remote server entries in their settings.

```
`claude mcp add --transport http businessloanbroker https://mcp.businessloanbroker.ai/mcp codex mcp add businessloanbroker --url https://mcp.businessloanbroker.ai/mcp codex mcp login businessloanbroker`
```

## What happens on first connect?

The client opens the authorization page. The owner signs in or creates a free business account, sees the scopes requested, and approves. The server issues a token bound to that business. From then on, tool calls run with exactly the access the owner granted. The owner can revoke the token from their account settings at any time and the agent's next call fails cleanly with an authorization error.

If the owner has more than one business, the server asks which one the session is for. Tool calls never cross businesses.

## Which scopes should I request?

Request the minimum for the task. `business:read` covers profile, documents, application state, matching results and offers. `business:write` adds document upload, answer updates, autofill and lender selection. `application:submit` is required only for the final submission and is the one the owner will be most careful about. A read only session is a good way to review an existing application or explain offers without being able to change anything.

business:readProfile, documents, answers, readiness, matches, deals and offersbusiness:writeUploads, answer updates, autofill, selectionsapplication:submitSubmit the application to the selected lenders

## What are the limits and error semantics?

Tool calls are rate limited per business at a level a single agent session will not reach in normal use. Long operations (autofill, match runs) are asynchronous: start them, then poll the matching get tool until the status is settled. Errors are returned as structured MCP tool errors with a stable code, a plain message you can show the owner, and a hint about what to change. Irreversible tools return a review payload first when called without a confirmation flag, so a mistaken call does nothing.

Retry reads freely. Do not retry a submit without checking status first; the server protects against duplicates, but the owner should never see two confirmations for one action.

## How is the tool set versioned?

The tool list is stable within a major version. New tools are added without renaming existing ones. When a tool is deprecated it keeps working for at least 90 days and its description says what replaces it. The changelog below is the record; the live `tools/list` response is always authoritative.

**Changelog.** 1.0 (launch): business profile, documents, application, autofill, readiness, matching, selections, submission, deals and offers, guidance search.

## What does the server refuse to do?

It will not make or imply a credit decision, will not submit without confirmation, will not create a personal loan application, will not operate on a business the owner has not authorized, and will not return another business's data. It is also not the right tool for brokers; they use Levr's broker server. If an owner asks for something outside this scope, say so and point them to a human at [contact](https://businessloanbroker.ai/contact/).

## Questions and answers
**Which clients are supported?**

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over streamable HTTP with OAuth: Claude web, desktop and mobile, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, and others. If a client only supports stdio servers, use a small HTTP to stdio bridge.

**Is there a sandbox?**

Create a free business account and work in it without submitting. Everything up to submission is safe to exercise. The readiness check tells you what a real submission would need.

**Can one agent session handle several businesses?**

Each token is bound to one business. For several businesses, run separate sign ins or use the REST API with a key per business.

**Where is the broker MCP?**

At https://mcp.levr.ai/mcp for broker and lender accounts through levr.ai. Business accounts cannot use it and broker accounts cannot use this one.
