Free covers everyday chat with limits; Go is cheaper in some countries. Plus adds far more usage, stronger models, deep research and custom assistants. Pro, listed at $200 a month, is for heavy daily use. Enterprise adds single sign on and retention controls.

## How do ChatGPT connectors, apps and MCP work?

ChatGPT reaches other products three ways. ChatGPT connectors link it to Google Drive, Gmail, Dropbox and similar sources. ChatGPT apps are products in its directory, built on MCP, the open standard for the short, fixed list of things an assistant may do inside a product. Custom MCP connectors are servers you add by address in developer mode, which is how you add ours. A custom assistant is a version of ChatGPT you build without code, with your own instructions and files.

## What are the limits and honest downsides?

ChatGPT will sometimes state something false with full confidence, and it cannot tell you when. Numbers it reads from a document are usually right; numbers it produces to fill a gap are guesses, so verify anything without a source.

Second, data handling: on personal plans your chats may be used to improve the models unless you turn that off, at the time of writing; Business and Enterprise do not train on your content by default. ## How do you use ChatGPT to apply for a business loan?

**Is ChatGPT free for a small business?**

The free plan has usage limits but covers real drafting and research. Custom connectors, including ours, need a paid plan with developer mode at the time of writing. Most owners who use it daily move to Plus, listed at $20 a month.

**Is it safe to upload bank statements and tax returns to ChatGPT?**

Reasonably, if you check the settings first. Business and Enterprise do not train on your content by default; personal plans have a data control you can turn off. Share only what the task needs, and for a loan share the same documents you would hand a lender.

**Does ChatGPT replace a bookkeeper or accountant?**

No. It handles volume: categorizing, extracting, drafting and chasing. A bookkeeper still closes the month and an accountant still signs off on tax returns and on the financials that go to a lender. Treat ChatGPT as a fast assistant for the person who already does that work.

**My workspace does not show developer mode. What do I do?**

An owner or admin has to enable it, or publish the connector to the workspace, before members can add a custom connector. Send them the server address from our ChatGPT page so they can confirm who operates it. If not, the same free account works in Claude.
