**Is it safe to upload bank statements and tax returns to Claude?**

Reasonably, if you check the settings first. Business plans do not train on your content by default; personal plans have a training setting you control. Share only what the task needs, and for a loan share the same documents you would hand a lender, through a connector that uses OAuth.

**Does Claude replace a bookkeeper or accountant?**

No. It handles volume: categorizing, extracting, drafting and chasing. A bookkeeper still closes the month and an accountant still signs off on tax returns and on the financials that go to a lender. Treat Claude as a fast assistant for the person who already does that work.
