What changed?
Until now, an AI assistant could explain business loans but could not apply for one. It could tell you what a DSCR is and draft an email to a bank, and then you were on your own with the forms and the lender sites. That gap is closed. We published an MCP server that gives your assistant the tools to run a real application on BusinessLoanBroker.ai, end to end.
MCP is an open standard that lets assistants connect to outside services with your permission. Once connected, the assistant is no longer guessing about your options. It is working inside the same application that business loan brokers use on Levr, with a lender in every category on the other side. The technical details are on the MCP server page.
How does it work?
In plain steps: you connect your assistant to our server and sign in, so it has permission to act for your business. You give it a task and share your documents. It extracts the financials from your bank statements, tax returns and financial statements, fills the application, and tells you what is missing. It checks readiness against what lenders typically want, matches you with lenders across categories, and shows you the file before anything goes anywhere.
When you approve, it submits. Offers come back into your account and your assistant can read them, compare them, and explain the terms using the definitions in our glossary. The full sequence, tool by tool, is on the agent workflow page.
What do you say to Claude or ChatGPT?
Say what your business is, what you need and what you want the assistant to do, then tell it not to submit until you approve. Two examples that work well:
- Starting from scratch: "I run a landscaping company in Texas with about $600,000 in annual revenue and I need $75,000 for two new trucks. Use the BusinessLoanBroker.ai MCP server to check what I qualify for, tell me which documents you need from me, and prepare the application. Do not submit anything until I approve it."
- Documents in hand: "Here are my last six months of bank statements and my 2025 tax return. Extract the financials, estimate my DSCR, match me with lenders for a line of credit of around $50,000, and show me the completed application before you submit it."
More prompts for specific situations, from bad credit to buying a business, are on our prompts page.
Apply once and reach a lender in every category. Free for your business.Or ask your AI assistant to apply for you through our MCP server.
Apply nowWhat should you have ready?
Three to six months of business bank statements, your most recent business tax return, and a current profit and loss statement and balance sheet if you have them. Add your business formation documents, a list of existing debt with balances and payments, and photo ID for each owner with 20% or more.
You do not need everything before you start. The assistant will tell you what is missing and why, and you can add documents as you go. Having the bank statements and tax return first is what lets it give you a realistic read on what you qualify for. The complete list is in our document checklist and on the agent documents page.
What does it not change?
It does not change underwriting, and it does not change your numbers. Lenders still review the same bank statements, the same tax returns and the same credit, and they decide on the same basis they always have. A business that most banks would decline, for example one under two years old with thin deposits, is still that business when an assistant fills in the form. What changes is that you find out faster, with less effort, and with a lender in every category looking at the same file.
It also does not make decisions for you. Your assistant can recommend, compare and explain, but every submission waits for your approval, and the offer you accept is your choice. To understand what lenders are weighing, read business loan requirements before you start.
Is it safe to give your assistant your documents?
Your assistant connects through OAuth, so it never sees your password, it gets only the access you grant, and you can revoke that access from your account at any time. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest and are shared only with lenders you are matched with, after you approve the submission. We do not sell your application as a lead.
The one thing to be careful about is which assistant and which account you use. Connect from your own account, not a shared one, and review what you have granted from time to time. Our security page covers how we handle data, and the agent security page covers scopes and tokens in detail.
Where do you start?
Open the agents hub, pick your assistant, and follow the connection steps for it. Then paste one of the prompts above, with your own numbers, and let it ask you for what it needs. If you would rather read first, our guide on using AI to get a business loan walks through a full application from the first prompt to comparing offers. And if you prefer to apply yourself, the same application is on this site.
